The ‘Ardaas’ to start the expansion of the building at Nishkam Medical Centre was performed by Bhai Harjit Singh Ji, Head Granthi of the local Gurudwara Sahib on 29 September, 2013. A three-member team from Nishkam headquarters at Delhi specially visited Yamuna Nagar for this Samagam.
The guests of honor, who attended the Ardaas Samagam, were Dr. Jetinder Singh Nanra, President of NSWC; S Harbhajan Singh Sahni (JP), General Secretary; and S Kanwal Jeet Singh Talwar, Member of NSWC; Mr. Girish Wadhwa ji, renowned social worker associated with Society for disowned persons and animals. S. J.S Anand, a renowned personality of Yamuna Nagar and patron of local project committee graced the occasion. Also in attendance at the Ardaas Samagam were representatives of the Yamuna Nagar branch; the contractor, who has been selected for carrying out the expansion/construction work at this building and some members of the local Sangat.
Underlining Nishkam’s commitment to the social welfare and the importance of its Sewa for the needy and downtrodden through various welfare projects of Nishkam, Dr. Nanra said: “We are pleased that Nishkam has reached this milestone with the generous cooperation and support of Saadh Sangat and we are looking forward to provide better quality care to patients.” He also exhorted the members of Local Project Committee to devote their best possible efforts and extended hours of Sewa to ensure that the funds being spent for the expansion of building bring in better results and return.
Furthermore, the architectural and mapping of the construction plan was thoroughly discussed with contractors while keeping strict adherence to the local municipal legalities. The President assured the local Committee to consider their proposal for setting up a Dental Chair project and improvised infrastructure for their clinical Lab. Later on, a room was also earmarked where the Dental Chair will be installed until the time new building comes up.
After that, the JCB tractor machine pulled down the boundary wall, so that the expansion work could start. S. Harbhajan Singh, General Secretary, gave the vote of thanks for organizing this Samagam and desired that local committee should involve more and more members of the Sangat to get benefits from this medical centre and extend their support and cooperation for this noble cause.
