Nishkam has been working for the last 30 years for social causes without any discrimination and one of its projects has been to provide Medical assistance to poor/needy patients to enable them to undergo costly treatment/surgery who cannot afford otherwise.
Last appeal was issued on January 10, 2015 for the treatment of S. Prince Singh Gill of Village Khem Karan, District Amritsar, Punjab for Ankylosing Spondilosis with secondary Bilateral Hip Joints Spondylolisthesis. The Donation money has been received from the donor and we have already written to Hospital for advising the operation date.
We have now received a Medical case of Smt. Chetna Vohra, a middle aged woman of 44 Years. Her husband S. Jagjit Singh is unable to earn due to lever damage and living in a rented house at Uttam Nagar, New Delhi. Smt. Chetna Vohra is managing through Tiffin supply earning only Rs. 3000/‐ p.m. and belongs to a poor family having two twin daughters aged 11.
Smt. Chetna Vohra was earlier supported by Nishkam for Rs.44000/‐ her hip replacement surgery of one side at Safderjung Hospital in October, 2014 and now she has again approached Nishkam for financial support for Hip replacement of other side for Rs.75000/‐as per estimate given by Dr. Ashish Jaimar, Associate Professor, orthopedic surgery at Safdarjung Hospital (Govt. Hospital). Nishkam has the Policy to pay directly to the Hospital. As per policy of Nishkam the case has already been verified by Nishkam team and it has been decided to help her further for getting required treatment by depositing the requisite amount of Rs.75000/‐ with Hospital.
An earnest appeal is made to all our donors and sympathizers for generous contributions for noble cause to enable us to support Smt. Chetna Vohra to enable her to be treated to become a normal person and support her family and two teenage twin daughters.
We are also thankful to the Management Committee of Shri Guru Singh Sabha, Gurdwara Jeewan Park, New Delhi for forwarding this case to Nishkam for medical assistance.
