Scholarships - Class VII to XII

for school going students (Class VII to XI)

Under this programme, scholarships of Rs.1200/- to Rs.2400/- per annum are granted to needy/intelligent students, of classes 7th to 11th, with the help of Relief Committee of Greater New York.

The scholarships are granted to the student getting at least 50% marks in the annual exams and maintaining model conduct. The Programme covers students of Govt. and aided schools ofDelhiand Shahabad (Haryana). Approximately 400 students are covered under the programme every year and since inception about 3000 students have secured scholarships under the programme. Applications are invited in July every year through schools included in Nishkam’s list. Students have to undergo written test and interview for securing scholarship.


Master Harbans Singh Memorial Scholarship (Perpetual Scholarship)

for school going students (Class XII)

Master Harbans Singh was a dedicated Sewadar of Nishkam, who came in the Nishkam’s fold in the most difficult times of 1984 -1985. He was a teacher by profession and rendered his valuable and dedicated services up to November, 1993, when while coming back from Amritsar, after completing a Sewa mission, he met with an accident and departed from this world along with his wife. In recognition of his dedicated Nishkam Sewa, this scholarship programme was instituted.

Under this programme, scholarships of 1500/- to Rs.3000/- per month are granted to students, of class 12th, by Nishkam, with the help of its donors, who have instituted scholarships in the memory of their dear ones.
